W 2001 roku ukazała się pierwsza edycja kompilacji Crash Course, mającej na celu dotarcia no nowych Fanów Marillion. Płyta była wysyłana zupełnie za darmo do osób, które rozpoczynały swoją przygodę z muzyką Marillion. Dla pozostałych Fanów była dostępna za zaledwie 2 Funty. Wydawana była zazwyczaj przy okazji wydawanych albumów studyjnych. Zawierała kompozycje z ostatniej płyty, plus wyrane najbardziej reprezentacyjne z najważniejszych albumów. Ukazwyała się w latach: 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, oraz 2012. Towarzyszyły im w roku 2007 oraz 2008 wersje promo An Introduction. Ta z 2008 ukazała się w dwóch wersjach; dla magazynu Classic Rock oraz wersja promo z 21 skróconymi utworami..
